"Candy"

I just watched one of my all-time favorite movies, "Candy." The movie is one of Heath Ledgers great works in which he plays a young man who is completely addicted to heroin. His love interest in the movie falls to the fate of drugs as well and eventually becomes completely dependent on the substance. Her addiction to the drug becomes so serious that she literally cannot function daily without it. This movie is not funny or lovely in any way. Instead, it is painfully real and horrifyingly sad. Every single time I watch this movie I become totally overwhelmed with emotions and I have to remind myself that the movie is not real, even though the situation at hand could very well be true. Rent it if you haven't seen it. It is well worth the time and money!
